Toronto’s official Christmas tree lights up on November 28 at Nathan Phillips Square with fireworks and a Disney characters on ice show. If you miss it, check out the magical lights and family friendly festivities that continue throughout the season.

Keep cosy with free hot chocolate on November 28 as Toronto’s Beach neighbourhood lights up the beach boardwalk with 80,000 twinkling lights.

Set against the best view of the lake, Harbourfront’s Natrel Pond has free skating every day in December, with deejayed weekend events. Hot drinks and snacks are available inside, and there’s helmet and skate rentals available at the kiosk downstairs.

On December 12, Toronto’s farm in the city celebrates the holidays with Santa visits to all the animals, and craft activities in the Meeting House at Riverdale Farm. Bring a food bank donation.
