It’s Family Day on February 20th, and that means a Long Weekend! Hurrah! We’ve got some great events and activities for you and the kids around the GTA.
Art Gallery of Ontario
The AGO has a jam-packed day of family-friendly programming for Family Day from 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM. They’ve got kite-making and bubble wrap-bursting, exciting and interactive performances by the SOAR children’s skipping team and a screening of Cave Small Cave Big, a new short film written by two Toronto seven-year-olds.

Family Fun Fest
Indoor fun chaos at its finest. Bouncy castles, rides, obstacle courses, arcade games, and carnival games are all collected inside at Downsview Park. Let them burn off all that energy, and then get wound up again with some funnel cakes and beaver tails. It’s on all weekend too, including Family Day.

Pack your Family Day Weekend with fun as the ROM celebrates our rich Toronto multicultural landscape with musical performances, films, special workshops, and more!

KidsFest TO
If you’re out west, check out the KidsFest TO with 30 rides, inflatable slides and castles to climb on, and live entertainment. All indoors, the kids can shuck their parkas and boots for some mitten-free playtime. This one is also on all weekend, including Family Day.

Bata Shoe Museum
There’s lots going on at the BSM, including arts & crafts, hands-on demos, ISpy in the galleries, try-on shoes and so much more! A special viewing of The Snow Queen will complete your afternoon – join Ellie on an incredible journey as she tries to rescue her brother Tom from the clutches of the evil Snow Queen and save the world to boot! Film begins at 12 pm. Included in museum admission; drop in activities perfect for ages 3-12.
