High Park’s famous “castle” playground is huge (400 acres) and has so many nooks and crannies for kids to play and hide, that the whole family can relax here for an entire day. Washrooms on site are open seasonally.

Oriole Park
This incredible midtown playground caters to kids of all ages and mobilities. It’s wheelchair friendly with flat rubber surfaces, has sensory toys, and a section just for toddlers. Bonus: there’s a sprinkler!

Corktown Common Playground
This “naturescape” playground is the city’s newest and not everyone knows about it, so the modern play structures and slides that are built right into the slopes are rarely crowded. Definitely a hidden gem.
East of Bayview Avenue, south of King Street, Toronto
Dufferin Grove Park
This leafy urban outdoor community centre includes traditional playgrounds and the coolest sandpit/mud-pie building section complete with hose. There’s also an on-site summer snack hut selling muffins, coffee and more.

Treehouse Towers at Kew Garden
Also called “castle park,” this Beaches playground has wooden towers and a turret, and a wading pool attached.
